Welcome
We greet
you in the name of the Lord. When you are visiting in Northwest
Georgia, know that you are always welcome to join us for our worship
of Almighty God.
If you are
looking for a parish community, we hope that you will visit with
us and share in our eucharistic life as well as joining us in
our parish events and ministries. If you feel drawn to the parish,
please speak with the rector. Inquirers' Classes are offered twice
a year for those who are interested in becoming members of Ascension.
If you are
searching for deeper meaning and faith in God, and you have not
been baptized, you are invited to become a Catechumen
in preparation for you new life in Christ.
If you have
previously been baptized and desire to make a mature public affirmation
of your baptismal vows and receive the strengthening gift of the
Holy Spirit, you are invited to receive the Sacrament
of Confirmation. Those coming from other denominations and
who have already made a mature affirmation of their faith are
received, not confirmed, by the bishop.
If you have
been baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal tradition, but because
you have been away from a faith community for sometime or if you
have experienced a spiritual awakening in your life, you are invited
to ReAffirm your Baptismal
Promises.
