Those excused were Nancy Zerbe and Roxane Petron. The meeting opened with prayer and Bible study followed by member’s sharing their reflection on the scripture.

The Rector read a thank you letter from the University of the South acknowledging the Parish’s annual contribution.

Neal Brunt presented the February Financial Report. Elizabeth Whitton moved the report be accepted as presented. Tom Manner seconded and the motion carried.

Tom Manner presented the March written report from the I AM Committee (attached)

Tom Manner encouraged other Vestry members to include their financial information on their reports.

The following Action Items were reported:

Kelley Dial reported that the Draft Revision to the By-Laws are being reviewed by Brad Paulk and will be forwarded on to the Diocesan Committee and the Bishop for their review.

Neal Brunt reported he was working on a back up system for data files. After some discussion, the Rector agreed to buy a back up device that will allow off-site storage of a disk with the Parish data files.

Kelley Dial reported she would contact Drew Tonsmeire again to inquire if he is interested and available to Chair the Strategic Planning Committee.

Kelley Dial reported she had a draft of a mission statement for brochures and bulletins from Stewardship and hoped to have these also from Pastoral Care and Christian Education by the next meeting.

Kelley Dial reported photographs will be taken at the Easter services and at the Parish Picnic on April 15, 2007. These will be added to the name-tag boards in the hallway of the Education Building.

Tom Manner reported that Fredrick Knight had made a proposal to add protective covers to the stained-glass windows at approximately $250.00 per window. After some discussion, Brenda Worley moved that we cover all the windows. Dan Baker seconded and the motion carried.

Neal Brunt reported that the posting of the 2007 Budget is complete.

In new business, Neal Brunt offered to prepare Last Wills and Advanced Directives for Parish members with the proceeds going to help pay for new appliances for the Parish kitchen.

In addition to the above mentioned report from the I AM Committee, the Rector received written reports from the following Servant Ministries: Pastoral Care, Evangelism, Fellowship and Buildings and Grounds (each attached).

The Rector asked if there were any other announcements. Brenda Worley said that Fellowship would like to plan to take a group of parishioners to a Rome Braves game in early May.
