MEETING
June 16, 2007
The Vestry met in the Parish Hall on May 15, 2007 at 6:00 pm. Attending
were Fr. Tom Martin, Brenda Worley, Bev McGruder, Dan Baker, Nancy
Zerbe, and Kelley Dial. Those excused were Roxane Petron, Elizabeth
Whitton, Tom Manner and Neal Brunt. The meeting opened with prayer
and Bible study followed by member’s sharing their reflection
on the scripture.
The Vestry shared some of the ways they have seen God at work in
the last month.
The Rector presented the May Minutes. A motion was made by Dan
Baker to accept the Minutes as amended. Kelly Dial seconded and
the motion carried.
Kelley Dial presented the May Financial Report. After discussion,
Brenda Worley moved the report be accepted as presented. Bev McGruder
seconded and the motion carried.
In Tom Manner’s absence, Dan Baker presented a letter from
Tom as Chair of the I AM Committee. This letter and a copy of the
proposed floor plan of the new Parish Life Center were mailed to
parish members May 30th.
In ongoing business, the following ACTION ITEMS were presented:
• Kelley Dial reported the Ministry Mission Statements are
in process and she needs Worship and Finance.
• Kelly Dial reported that photographs and name tags is an
ongoing process. She will use the opportunity presented at Vacation
Church School and the upcoming picnic to take more photos.
• Dan Baker reported that Fredrick Knight still has the protective
covers for the windows on his schedule.
• The Rector requested nominations for Diocesan Delegates.
In new business, the Rector reminded the Vestry of the following:
• The first Strategic Planning meeting will be September
8th. Drew Tonsmeire will chair with members of the various Servant
Ministries attending. Reports will be presented to the Vestry from
the meetings.
• The Servant Ministries budgets are due at the July Vestry
Meeting.
• Dan Baker reports he is planning further training with the
Eucharistic Ministers and encourages them to invite someone to accompany
them as they take communion to the shut in.
• Fr. Tom reports the Systems Manual is ongoing.
• Fr. Tom presented the email about the “Tent Revival”
in Washington State.
• The schedule for Bishop Alexander’s visit on July
15, 2007 is as follows:
o 8:00 AM Eucharist
o 9:15 AM Family Mass
o 10:00 AM Meet with Vestry
o 11:00 AM Parish Eucharist
o 12:15 PM Reception
Reports were received from Stewardship, Fellowship and Outreach.

Important Dates
July 1st – Picnic at the church.
July 15th – Episcopal Visitation with reception and Vestry
Meeting afterwards.
September 8th – Strategic Planning.
September 9th - Festival of Ministries (Time and Talent).
October 7 – 14 – Parish Council
October 14 – Stewardship Campaign (Treasurer).
The Senior Warden reported that articles are due for the Newsletter
each month.
The Rector has no further business to report and the meeting adjourned
and closed with prayer.
