Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)
The youth of the Church of the Ascension play an active and vital role in our parish. EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) is for youth in the 6th through 12th grades. EYC is a place for youth to safely explore and deepen their relationship with Christ, learn more about the Episcopal Church, and live into their Baptismal Covenant by participating in the world around them.
We share our fellowship time on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:30 PM from August through April with food, worship, and fun! Junior and Senior EYCs are split for activities and games most nights, but we also have time to eat and worship together. Throughout the school year we’ll take trips, participate in Diocesan events, fundraisers and service opportunities, and hang out together. Check back often for calendar information and details about events!
For more information about EYC, visit the Diocesan Youth website.
Ascension parishioner Adam Harper recently created a video regarding Camp Mikell, the camp and conference center of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, where many Episcopal youth go to deepen their faith and sense of community. You can view the video here.
